General request for expanded sorting functionality

Dylan McKinley 4 years ago • updated by Christine Masters (Director of Product Management) 3 years ago 7
Blox's power is obvious and awesome, but just imagine how we could enhance and improve efficiency in our various workflows if we had more control over the metadata we can see in the asset search results viewer. Perhaps it's already in the works, or perhaps there are technical limitations I am not aware of – but it would be fantastic to see all columns sortable, many more columns available to show more metadata fields, more and customizable functionality of what kind of preview hover text shows (for instance, right now the only thing you see is the image when you hover over it - it'd be great to tweak that to show the caption as well or be able to switch between them somehow). Generally, I'm hoping we can see the search results grow into something more like an Explorer or Finder window. I know I could shave a ton of time off the projects I work on with more options. Thanks for all your hard work, TownNews!

Pin assets

Maunette Loeks 4 years ago • updated 4 years ago 4
It would be very awesome if we could pin assets FROM the asset. It would be very convenient for those assets that have moved out of the top story or other block because of time, but we want to "resurface" the asset in the block.

Is there a way to schedule a report based on the dates and an ad campaign?

Patrick Brannan 4 years ago • updated by Kim Mason BGDN 4 years ago 3
I know I can schedule ad reports on a daily, weekly or monthly schedule, but being able to run a report based on the start and end date of a campaign would be great too.

Facebook Open Graph "Like"

Maunette Loeks 4 years ago • updated 4 years ago 2
We were interested in the Open Graph tag article:publisher for our Facebook/website. Blox had the documentation, so we assumed that this worked.
After putting a ticket in, we were told that it was not functioning and we'd love to see this be available. We are interested in the "like" button that shows up on the articles, etc. to help our social media promotion.
Thank you,
Maunette Loeks/Star-Herald

Blind reply for classifieds/ad owl

Carrie Kuhl 4 years ago • updated by Christine Masters (Director of Product Management) 4 years ago 1
Wish there was a way to Blind reply to ads in adowl-like in craigslist or backpage.com. Of course users would still need to register as a real person but a blind reply would allow them to click one button to inquire to the seller or service provider without giving up their phone number or private email address right off the bat. With an option like that, our product would be on the same level but "spam free" and far superior to other online classifieds sites. Way easier for you to sell more companies on too :)

Batch print

Shiela Johnson 4 years ago • updated by Christine Masters (Director of Product Management) 4 years ago 2
Is there a way to perform a batch print instead of selecting each asset individually to print?
Hi Shiela!

Sorry I missed this question before. Can you give me a bit more information as to what you're trying to do? Are we talking about front-end users or admin users?

For Classified ads on the front end, we do have a "Save to list" feature that allows users to create lists of their favorite ads. Once they create a list, they can go to the User Dashboard to see all their lists there:

Once they go to the list, as I show above, there is a print button on the right of the list title. That will allow them to print ad listings at once.

This is great for Garage Sales, for example, or houses.

Marketplace Storefront listings and section tagging

Jeff Evans 4 years ago • updated by Christine Masters (Director of Product Management) 4 years ago 3
For the Marketplace Storefront listings, I am having major issues with section tagging not working correctly. It seems like section tagging works only part of the time, other times it gets completely ignored, or has a specific non-intuitive set of rules. Very difficult to manage and requires lots of trial and error. Support has not been able to help me. Suggestion is that section tagging works just like it would work for any other asset - if you section tag something, it goes in that tab, and only in that tab. Easy to manage and easy to understand.
