Annotate an article with pop-up cards
I have an editor that wants to annotate stories with some data without bogging down the text. The idea is you could click or hover on a name and a pop-up would give you information about a legislator's campaign donations, for example. I'm still looking for a good example of what I want. But the idea is that it would be simple and not disruptive to the text on desktop or mobile. (We've been using Soundcite occasionally, and I'd like it to be similar to that but with words instead of sound. http://www.columbiamissourian.com/sports/prep_sports/battle-hickman-and-rock-bridge-swimmers-find-success-at-como/article_a4832434-d5fd-11e6-8dd9-47f38d7e0302.html
Anybody try something like this? I'm looking at different hover/pop-up options, but I'm worried about how the code would work within an article.
Customer support service by UserEcho
There is an external service called Genius annotations that is really cool. I've been looking at it to see about a possible integration.
I'm not sure about their data model right now (meaning, I'm not sure if they sell data they gathered on your website), and I would want SSO if we did an integration. That being said, it works easily on FLEX by just adding their script to the page.

Scroll down to the first few paragraphs and click on the highlighted text.
Ah! That's great, exactly what I was looking for. Thank you! And I'd be a fan of integration too.
Bootstrap has a nice looking popup component included. Could work for what you want, and already included in Blox.
